People have worked very hard to invent things for having a better life and enjoy a luxurious lifestyle. Modern day inventions changed our lives and made it comfortable, easy and luxury. These Inventions have minimized the effort that people put to have their works done. Humans have made inventions that benefit and help them. Benefits we get from inventions make it very important to all human beings. Just think about a day without having cellphone, without checking emails on your computer, without watching your favorite TV show, or what if you got a computer but without an internet connection? How could you spend your holiday tour without camera? What if there is no such thing like automobile or an airplane. Here are some modern inventions that made everything so perfect.

World Wide Web/Internet/Email


Internet allows people to access almost any information located anywhere in the world at any time. Life has been made very easy because of the internet and email. The Internet has forever changed the landscape of the world. 1.7 billion People are using internet today which is the 25 percent of the whole world. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the research and development arm of the U.S. military, created ARPANET in the late 1960s. The internet we know today under World Wide Web was created by Tim Berner Lee in 1989. Email networks included the first ARPANET email sent in 1972 developed by Ray Tomlinson. Today Emails have revolutionized our lives. A person sitting in one part of the world can communicate with someone in any other part of the world in the time of a few seconds. But before the invention of Email, a person would send a document and wait for days for the person to receive it.

Computers have impacted our lives with several benefits. Computers are now used in almost every phase of life. Nothing is possible without computers in these days. There is no single inventor of the modern computer. Mechanical computing devices were in existence in the 1800s. Charles Babbage’s analytic engine is often seen as the forerunner of the modern computer. TV’s are the most commonly and most popular means of home entertainment. Our lives have greatly been evolved by his invention.

Digital Cameras


A Kodak engineer “Steven Sasson” invented the first digital camera in 1975. The first digital camera was just 0.01 mega pixels but now we have digital cameras up to 160 mega pixels. Without Digital Camera’s half the breakthroughs in science would not have been possible as there would have been no means to go into the depths of this world.



Mobile technology has changed the way of communication, as it allows us to make calls, send text messages. Today there are over approximately 4 billion mobile phones in the world and the number keeps on increasing. The first device was introduced by Bell Laboratories in Missouri in 1947. The first mobile phone was sold nearly 30 years ago from today — on March 13, 1984. It was incredibly big, heavy and useless as compared to today’s cellphones. Today, everything from modern business negotiations to those long distance calls home are made affordable with the technology of the mobile phone.



Robots and machinery are being used in packaging of manufactured goods, car productions, military drones, space probes, production of printed circuit boards. The humanoid Robots are widely being used today and who knows a time may come in future where Robots will do all the work. Robots are helping us in many aspects of life.

Everyone is well known of GPS. Global Positioning System (GPS) first came into existence in 1978. GPS and other tracking instruments are commonly being used to acquire help in finding locations and directions. GPS points to your location with incredible accuracy. It gives accurate direction for travel. GPS in vehicles can save your time in your daily travels.



It would be hard to imagine a world without automobiles and airplanes. We all know the importance of them in our life. There are approximately 600 million passenger cars worldwide. Karl Benz’s Motorwagen in 1885, motorized by an internal combustion engine, is commonly considered the first automobile. In 1998, the German engineer Karl Benz produced the first modern auto-mobile. To get to other foreign destinations faster, the best way today is by plane and we owe it to the Wright brothers who had invented it back in 1903 when they had successfully made the first sustained flight.
